I wanted to put an update here for all my readers and fans who don’t follow me on Facebook.
As many of you know, there was not a new Kris Longknife book for purchase on November 1. This is the first time this has happened in years.
My dear wife of fifty years and I were having some health issues from June through early October. Consequently, I’ve not written anything for months and am slowly getting back into writing.
The next Kris Longknife book, Indomitable, is planned for a first quarter 2019 release. Please follow Mike Shepherd on Facebook for the latest news and updates.

When will indomitable be ready for sale? And will there be a 4th book for the Santiago series?
Indomitable is up on all forums: Amazon, etc. even Audible and in print form. Right now, I’m not sure when Sandy will have another book. I’m working on Kris Longknife: Victorious for November 1 release right now. Thank you for your note.
2018 was a hard year for me, as well. My best wishes to both of you. Keep your chin up, and look after one another. I love your books, but I can wait. Some things are more important.

Hey Mike I just started reading your books last month, and I have enjoyed them very
much. Sorry to hear about your health issues. It seems to me that once you get past 55, they have a tendency to crop up. I had surgery in Nov. last year, and now have to go in again to reverse it.
I buy your books on Kindle because modern paperbacks fall apart after 2 or 3 reads. Not like back in the 50’s, 60’s or 70’s. They really skimp on the glue these days. I know, I worked in a printing company for 30 years. I love hardcovers, and if they are available, buy them for the $6 or $7 dollars difference (Hint, Hint) But I guess it’s too late for that. to buy the whole series a once, would no doubt cost on of Kris’s Destroyers or half a Nelly.

What is the time frame for Indomitable to appear in print form? I don’t generally do Kindle.

Hello Mike, we also lived in Vancouver, WA, too bad never found KL books before we left, would have love to meet you. Dad was in Navy in WW-II and I served 10 years. Hope your have gotten better and are not back up to peak health as well as wife. Take Care.

Thanks for sharing Kris with us, Mike. I’ve been reading about her exploits for years, but the books have been especially important for me as a welcome diversion from the hours of research and writing required for my doctorate. Thanks, also, for not making Megan a Kris clone. We obviously can’t wait for Kris and Jack’s kids to grow into the Longknife tradition. Megan can do what Kris can’t afford to any longer, but Megan’s mental abilities give her a unique approach to the challenges the family faces. Keep up the good work!

It’s a story slowly beginning to form in the back of my head how to develop Megan, Ruthie and Johnnie. You will love Stalwart when it comes out because there’s a great scene with Megan in it.

according to the last book in the vicky peterwald seires , the name to the new kris longknife book was to be kris longknife victorious. So what happened?
Upon editing, we thought the title Stalwart would be a better fit for this volume. We still plan to use the title Victorious, but at a later date.
